Green Spain is a vast land that extends from the Basque Country across to Galicia in Northwestern Spain. A lush verdant paradise that is best appreciated on foot so we have created a few "Soft Adventure" light walking tours. Along the way you will get a chance to stop and savor the fruits of the land by visiting various wineries offering world-renowned white and red Spanish wines.
Along the way you will get a chance to stop and savor the fruits of the land by visiting various wineries offering world-renowned white and red Spanish wines. In addition to dinning in hand-picked traditional restaurants and taverns serving fine local cuisine which changes in each area visited.
Nights on our tours will be spent in fabulous paradores, quaint manor houses and selected hotels for their charm, character and situation.
Starting in Bilbao you could join one of our special small group departure following along the ancient pilgrimage way to Santiago de Compostela. This year is the Holy Year - Xacobeo 2004 so it is an excellent time to follow along this wonderful historic trail. If you have more days at hand you could start in Pamplona taking in almost all the trail.
Moving across Green Spain to Galicia we have a very special small group tour planned for this July during the Festival of St. James that will be personally led by Sean O'Rourke, founder of EuroAdventures. This tour is a mix of walking and wine touring, starting off with walking some parts of the Camino de Santiago trail and then following down the Rias Baixas coast, the land of Albariņo wines where you will visit wineries, fishing villages, Celtic Hill-forts, etc...
Apart from this departure Sean will also be personally escorting other wine tours in Galicia either 8 Days or 12 Days.
Ending our journey across Green Spain no better way than to visit Finisterre "Land's End". Our Galicia costal and mountain range walking tour which will give you a great contrast of the landscape that can be found in Enchanting Galicia!
